چکیده

The global sensitivity analysis of a complex numerical model often calls for the estimation of variance-based importance measures, named Sobol’ indices. Metamodelbased techniques have been developed in order to replace the cpu time-expensive computer code with an inexpensive mathematical function, which predicts the computer code output. The common metamodel-based sensitivity analysis methods are well-suited for computer codes with scalar outputs. However, in the environmental domain, as in many areas of application, the numerical model outputs are often spatial maps, which may also vary with time. In this paper, we introduce an innovative method to obtain a spatial map of Sobol’ indices with a minimal number of numerical model computations. It is based upon the functional decomposition of the spatial output onto a wavelet basis and the metamodeling of the wavelet coefficients by the Gaussian process. An analytical example is presented to clarify the various

Artmo’s Global Sensitivity Analysis (gsa) Toolbox to Quantify Driving Variables of Leaf and Canopy Radiative Transfer Models

This contribution introduces ARTMO’s new global sensitivity analysis (GSA) toolbox. With the GSA toolbox the majority of ARTMO’s available radiative transfer models (RTMs) can be used for global sensitivity analysis with little user interaction. For a selected RTM output, the global sensitivity analysis identifies most influential and non-influential input variables according to Sobol’ first-or...

Some Conditions for Characterizing Minimum Face in Non-Radial DEA Models with Undesirable Outputs

The problem of utilizing undesirable (bad) outputs in DEA models often need replacing the assumption of free disposability of outputs by weak disposability of outputs. The Kuosmanen technology is the only correct representation of the fully convex technology exhibiting weak disposability of bad and good outputs. Also, there are some specific features of non-radial data envelopment analysis (DEA...

Economic Production Quantity Models with Shortage, Price and Stock-Dependent Demand for Deteriorating Items

This investigation presents an economic production quantity (EPQ) model for deteriorating items with stock-dependent demand and shortages. It is assumed that a constant fraction of the on-hand inventory deteriorates and demand rate depends upon the amount of the stock level. Expression for various optimal indices as well as cost analysis are provided. By taking numerical illustration, sensitivi...
